Lets face it (pun intended), none of us are getting any younger! This is precisely why earlier this year I decided to branch out and try a new skincare line. It can be scary trying new products, especially on your face because if you are like a lot of people who have sensitive skin this can lead to reactions like dryness, redness or even breakouts and no one wants that! Not to mention some products can be pretty pricey so we don’t want to waste our hard-earned money on a product that might not work or may cause you further issues.
What I love about Tula is that they walk you through each step and recommend a skincare routine that will best suit your needs by having you take a skin quiz. Tula is a probiotic based skincare line. Probiotics are natural, good for you bacteria. Probiotics have been clinically proven to help promote the look of the skins natural balance while locking in moisture and reducing the appearance or presence of inflammation. Read more here.
Cleansing & Exfoliating
Wash face with warm water and a dime size amount of Tula Purifying Face Cleanser.
Pat face dry. With skin still slightly damp I next apply Tula’s newest product, the So Polished Exfoliating Sugar Scrub featuring pineapple and papaya. This stuff smells so good that you’ll either want to eat it or you’ll be craving a pina colada!! I gently massage the product in small circles on my forehead, cheeks, chin and upper neck. Rinse again with warm water and pat face dry.
Next I will use two pumps of toner. I use Tula’s Pro-Glycolic 10% pH Resurfacing Gel. I spread this all over my face and neck. It absorbs quickly. Tula’s toner is alcohol-free and uses probiotics, glycolic acid and beetroot extract which also gently exfoliates the skin.
Next I put 2-3 swipes of Tula’s Glow & Get It Cooling and Brightening Eye Balm. This stuff is amazing and such a great idea to put it in a small twist-up tube for easy roll-on application. This product launched earlier this year and it sold out so fast and every time they get it back in stock it sells out immediately so if you see it available, stock up! A couple swipes of this balm will leave your under-eyes feeling cool and looking bright and will instantly wake you up. I don’t usually use this one before bed but you definitely can! It can leave a light white residue if you are applying on top of your makeup so I usually apply a light touch-up of foundation over top and it blends it in perfectly!
Moisture, Moisture, Moisture!
This is probably the biggest area my skin needs the most help! I’m not great at consistently drinking water so my skin gets very dry which makes it look so much older! Boo! Being dehydrated also makes it easier for your skin to lose it’s elasticity so moisturizing is HUGE for me and it’s definitely been the most improved feature of my skin since staring my Tula skincare routine. Tula has four different moisturizing options and I use the Hydrating Day and Night Cream. It’s light weight, not heavy or greasy feeling and my skin just soaks it up and looks so much more bright and alive.
I just started using this product very recently and I love the glow it gives me and how it creates a super smooth surface prior to applying my foundation. It’s called Face Filter Blurring and Moisturizing Primer. It’s very light weight and is more of a liquid than a cream. You don’t need much, a little goes a long ways and it gives you a healthy glow, eliminates redness and balances out your complexion. Pictured above with the cooling and brightening eye balm.
