Food

These are a few of my favorite things…

Cheeseburger and French fries, Five Guys Burgers and Fries

http://www.fiveguys.com/

Love, love, love Five Guys Burgers and Fries. I get the Double Bacon Cheeseburger with ketchup, mustard, mayo, lettuce and pickles. Can’t eat for the rest of the day after this! This was my post-win tradition when I played LFL. Victory burger!!

Chicken and Fry Sauce, Chic-fil-A

https://www.chick-fil-a.com/

I was late to the game on the Chic-fil-A bandwagon but OMG am I on it now! The chicken is so juicy and fresh and I could bathe in the fry sauce it’s so good. To die for!

Mexican: Qdoba for their Chips and queso and Cactus for their guacamole https://www.qdoba.com/

Breakfast, Brunch or Happy Hour: Pomegranate Bistro

https://pomegranatebistro.com/

Pomegranate Bistro is somewhat of a hidden treasure, mostly known to those who live in Redmond. It’s run by Lisa Dupar who has her catering business right next door. You can actually see the bakers busy making dough through the glass windows in the restaurant while you eat. I’ve never had a bad meal here. Our family’s favorite fall/comfort meal here is the sourdough grilled cheese and tomato soup. Pair it with an Irish Nudge coffee and you won’t ever want to leave.

Steak and potato dinner: Daniel’s Broiler

https://www.schwartzbros.com/locations/daniels-broiler-lake-union/

Daniel’s Broiler is a PNW treasure, known for it’s steak and delicious garlic mash, great selection of local wines and relaxing yet social ambiance. Great for date night. The place gets a little louder when the piano player starts playing “Don’t Stop Believin” by Journey.

Salmon Dinner: Cheesecake Factory

https://www.thecheesecakefactory.com/

The Cheesecake Factory is a great place to go if everyone in your party wants something different because if you haven’t been here before, bring your reading glasses because the menu is like a small novel!! So many options! Lately I’ve been OBSESSED with their fresh grilled salmon and garlic mashed potatoes (sense a theme here?), and I sub the broccoli for asparagus. And don’t forget you get a basket of that warm, dark brown bread and butter as an appetizer! Impossible to not eat it!

Breakfast Spot: Stricker’s Café

https://www.facebook.com/StrickersCafeLove/

I was recently introduced to this little hole in the wall breakfast spot by my husband and recently met a friend there as well. They serve breakfast and lunch all day, generous portions, lots of options and great quality food, mom and pops homestyle décor, very cozy.
